About

# We build like it is our own house.

Country Renovations Inc. is a renovation company in Toronto that started in 2014 with a simple idea: one team should carry a project from the first site visit to the last coat of paint, and the price you sign should be the price you pay.

Today we build kitchens, bathrooms, basements and additions for homeowners across Toronto and the GTA, new custom homes, and clinics, plazas and commercial spaces for business owners. The carpenters, electricians and plumbers on our jobs are licensed, WSIB-covered trade partners, and every job is run by one project manager. Cabinetry and millwork are made by Modello Cabinetry, a Canadian manufacturer.

We carry $5M in general liability insurance, work only with licensed, WSIB-covered trades (you can check any contractor's clearance on the [WSIB clearance page](https://clearances.wsib.ca/Clearances/eclearance/start?lang=en)), and put a written workmanship warranty on everything we build.

How we work

## Three things we do not compromise on

### A written fixed price

Itemized before work starts. We plan for what old Toronto houses and tired commercial units hide, so the number holds.

### One accountable team

Licensed, WSIB-covered trades under one contract and one project manager. Fewer handoffs, one standard of finish, one person to call.

### A clean, supervised site

Daily inspections by the project manager, weekly updates to you, and a professional clean at handover.

What we do

## A renovation company for Toronto homes and businesses

Most of our work is inside existing Toronto houses: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions and whole-home renovations. Many of these houses are decades old, with plaster walls, older wiring and plumbing that has been patched more than once. We plan for that from the first visit, so surprises are priced and agreed before they turn into change orders.

For business owners we build out clinics, offices, retail units and plazas, working around tenants and opening dates. For families who want to start from the ground up, we also build new custom homes, from the foundation to the day you move in.

Kitchen cabinetry, vanities and closets on our projects are made by Modello Cabinetry, a Canadian manufacturer, so the boxes, doors and finishes are built to size for each room rather than pulled off a store shelf. You can plan a layout yourself in our [kitchen designer](https://countryreno.com/kitchen-designer/) before we meet.

The process

## How a project with our Toronto renovation company runs

### 1. Site visit

We walk the space with you, measure, look at what is behind the walls where we can, and talk through budget and timing honestly.

### 2. Fixed-price proposal

You get an itemized written price and scope. Permits, where the work needs one, are part of the plan; the City of Toronto explains when a [building permit](https://www.toronto.ca/services-payments/building-construction/apply-for-a-building-permit/) is required.

### 3. Build and handover

One project manager runs the site, inspects daily and updates you every week. At the end we walk the finished work with you, fix anything on the list, and hand over a clean space with the written warranty.

From our base in Vaughan we work across the City of Toronto and the surrounding GTA. If you are not sure whether we cover your street, ask; we will tell you straight away.

Before you hire any contractor, us included, ask to see proof of liability insurance, a current WSIB clearance certificate and a written, itemized contract. A good contractor will hand all three over without hesitation; ask us for ours.
